A Thirst for God
We’re praying together for a fresh move of God among us, longing for Him the way a parched soul longs for water, as we prepare for
Spirit & Truth Weekend (September 25–27).

Psalm 42:1-2 “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the
living God. When can I go and meet with God?”
PRAY TOGETHER
Gracious, holy, magnificent, awesome Father, we offer You our praises, our worship and adoration. We come
thirsty, asking for generous amounts of Your living water to guide us as we look for our next steps of devotion to
Your principles in our church and in each of our personal lives.
As You quench our thirst, may each soul grow quiet and attentive. Please fill us with wisdom to discern the path
where the Holy Spirit is directing us, and courageous discipline to walk that path. May our relationships with
each other and with You grow richer and deeper along the way. Step by step, we are confident You are always
available by our sides, prompting and encouraging us. In joyful anticipation and gratitude, we ask for grace upon
grace in Jesus’ name, Amen.
