Day 2 — Monday, August 17 – Seeking Him Earnestly

Day 2 — Monday, August 17
Seeking Him Earnestly
We’re praying together for a fresh move of God among us, seeking Him earnestly as we prepare for Spirit & Truth Weekend (September
25–27).
READ
Psalm 63:1 “You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched
land where there is no water.”
PRAY TOGETHER
Wonderful, Merciful Savior,
We come before You with a heart of gratitude not just for all You do, but simply for who You are. You are the
Risen Savior, a faithful Father, our closest Friend, our divine Healer, our Provider, our Wisdom, our Joy, and our
Peace. In every moment of every day, You are closer than the air we breathe. You are Immanuel.
God, we ask that You would forgive us for the moments we allow the distractions of life to take our focus off
You. Forgive us when we allow disruptions, inconveniences, and frustrations to steal our peace. Father, stir our
hearts to hunger and thirst for You and You alone. Holy Spirit, fix our eyes on the Author and Perfecter of our
faith. Stir a deep desire in each of us not only to pursue You with our whole hearts, but to seek You first. Help us
not to rush Your presence but to long for You ‘as the deer pants for the water.’ We invite Your correction when
we seek to fill our hearts with the emptiness that only You can satisfy. You and You alone are worthy of our
affection.
Immanuel, thank You that Your Word says we will find You when we seek You with our whole hearts. We believe
that You are true to Your Word and that Your promises are always yes and amen. Thank You that You are the
God who loves, the God who sees, the God who saves, and the God who hears. Hear our humble cry today.
In Your holy, unmatched, and beautiful name we ask these things. Amen.
