Not by Might, But by My Spirit

Zechariah 4:6 “So he said to me, ‘This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’
says the Lord Almighty.”
PRAY TOGETHER
Heavenly Father,
Your words in Zechariah 4:6 so boldly remind us that it is not by our might or power that we do what You have
called us to do. But it is by Your Spirit that we are empowered to do all that You have asked of us. Help us, Lord,
to release the expectations we put on ourselves to try and carry the ministries You have entrusted to us on our
own. That is not at all what You intended. Thank You for sending us an Advocate, a Helper, and a Sustainer in the
Holy Spirit. It is only through His power that we are able to live lives free of any burden that we have to do it all.
Father, thank You that Your love is not something we have to earn. It is a gift of grace made possible through
Jesus Christ. Help us to live each day from that truth, serving not to gain Your approval, but because we have
already received it. We ask that Your Spirit would continue to lead, strengthen, and guide us in all that we do.
We ask all of this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
